Frank Vatrano collected a hat trick, Ryan Strome added one goal and two assists and the Anaheim Ducks defeated the host Philadelphia Flyers 7-4 on Saturday.
Adam Henrique had one goal and one assist while Trevor Zegras and Brett Leason each contributed one goal for the Ducks, who won their third game in a row.
Mason McTavish had two assists.
Ducks goaltender Lukas Dostal made 27 saves.
Travis Konecny scored twice and Cam Atkinson and Joel Farabee each had one goal for the Flyers, who lost at home for the first time in four games. Bobby Brink chipped in two assists.
Goaltender Samuel Ersson stopped 18 shots for the Flyers.
After Konecny was unable to clear the puck, the Ducks took advantage as Zegras scored on the power play at 2:42 of the third period for a 5-2 lead. Leason connected 32 seconds later for a commanding 6-2 advantage.
Konecny's second goal of the game at 9:51 of the third on the power play closed the Flyers within 6-3.
Vatrano registered the hat trick when he scored short-handed at 11:12 for a 7-3 lead. Farabee scored at 17:00 for the Flyers' fourth goal.
The Ducks went ahead 1-0 just 58 seconds into the game when Strome pounced on a loose puck following a pad save by Ersson.
Anaheim took a 2-0 advantage at 15:20 when Vatrano connected on the power play. The wrist shot landed just under the crossbar and over the line.
Ersson faced only eight shots but was beaten on two in the opening period.
Konecny skated in all alone and had a solid scoring chance at 2:18 of the second but Dostal made a nifty save.
Vatrano's second goal, at 6:58, gave the Ducks a 3-0 lead. Following a turnover in the Flyers' zone, the Ducks capitalized with a fourth goal at 9:30 when Henrique connected for his first goal of the season.
The Flyers cut the deficit to 4-1 at 11:49 when Atkinson received a crisp pass from Owen Tippett and scored. Philadelphia kept buzzing offensively and Konecny scored at 12:35 to close within 4-2.
