Oilers 2, Kings 1 (OT): Rookie Nail Yakupov tied the game with 4.7 seconds remaining in the third period and Sam Gagner scored on a power play in overtime as Edmonton earned its first home win of the season.

Yakupov batted a rebound out of mid-air and past Jonathan Quick in the waning moments of regulation and Gagner tapped in a cross-crease pass from Ryan Nugent-Hopkins at 3:01 of overtime. Devan Dubnyk made 30 saves for the Oilers.

Quick stopped 37 shots for Los Angeles but couldn’t hang on for his first shutout of the season. Jeff Carter opened the scoring with 6:34 left in the second period but was serving a bench minor for too many men on the ice when Gagner netted the winning goal.

Nugent-Hopkins appeared to tie the game on the power play with 1:05 to play in the third, but the goal was waved off after the referees ruled Gagner interfered with Quick.

Both teams were 0-for-8 on the power play at the end of regulation.
