Packers 38, Redskins 20: Aaron Rodgers continued his dominant play at home by throwing for a career-high 480 yards and four touchdowns as the Packers cruised to the easy victory.
Rodgers, who has won 20 of his last 21 starts at home, shredded the short-handed Redskins' secondary, firing a pair of touchdown passes to Jordy Nelson and single scores to Jermichael Finley and Randall Cobb.
Green Bay (1-1) also did plenty damage on the ground as James Starks scored on a 32-yard run and finished the game with 132 yards rushing to become the first Packer in the past 45 games to go over the century mark.
Rodgers tied Matt Flynn's team passing yardage mark by hitting 34-of-42 passes as Green Bay built a 31-0 advantage. James Jones was his favorite target, grabbing a career-high 11 catches for 178 yards, but lost a fumble just before halftime trying to reach the pylon for another Packers score.
The Washington (0-2) offense started slowly for the second straight game. Robert Griffin III, who was limited to one yard rushing on four carries but threw for 320 yards, connected with Pierre Garcon on a 6-yard scoring pass to break the shutout with 4:15 left in the third quarter and threw short scoring passes in the fourth quarter to rookie tight end Jordan Reed as well as Santana Moss.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Washington S Brandon Meriweather was injured delivering a hit early in the second quarter. Meriweather didn't move for several minutes but walked off the field and is diagnosed with a concussion. Earlier in the game Meriweather knocked Green Bay RB Eddie Lacy out of the game with a concussion after another hard hit. ... All 30 teams that started the season 0-2 in the last four years failed to make the playoffs. ... Finley caught six passes for 65 yards. He left in the third quarter and did return.
