Kelly Bryant threw three touchdown passes and linebacker Cale Garrett returned an interception for a score as Missouri built a 35-point halftime lead en route to a 42-10 victory against Troy on Saturday at Columbia, Mo.

The Southeastern Conference Tigers (4-1) trailed 7-0 before scoring 42 unanswered points to end the first half.

Bryant, a graduate transfer from Clemson, finished 12 of 19 for 221 yards and also ran for a touchdown.

Bryant did not play in the second half after suffering a lower-leg injury. Bryant was hit on a 6-yard scoring pass to receiver Jalen Knox with 1:12 left in the first half.

The quarterback remained on the ground after being hit on the left leg by Troy defensive tackle Travis Sailo and then walked off the field unassisted.

Kaleb Barker completed 15 of 26 passes for 92 yards, a touchdown and two interceptions for Troy (2-3) of Sun Belt Conference. Backup Gunnar Watson (5 of 9, 58 yards) played the final one-plus quarters.

Garrett returned an interception 33 yards for a touchdown to give Missouri a 35-7 lead 6:13 before intermission.

Bryant hit tight end Albert Okwuegbunam with a 16-yard scoring pass to make it 28-7 with 7:57 remaining in the first half. It was Okwuegbunam's 22nd career touchdown and was set up by another Garrett interception.

Jonathan Nance's 64-yard TD reception built a 21-7 Missouri cushion with 37 seconds to go in the first quarter.

Missouri went ahead 14-7 when Bryant ran 3 yards for a score with 3:27 remaining in the first quarter.

Larry Rountree III's 1-yard run tied the score at 7 with 9:55 to go in the opening quarter. Kam Scott's 49-yard third-down reception set up the score.

Barker connected with receiver Khalil McClain on a 15-yard scoring pass with 11:38 left of the first quarter. The points culminated a 12-play, 75-yard drive and were the first allowed by Missouri in the first quarter this season.

Troy's Tyler Sumpter added a 43-yard field goal with 4:55 to go in the third quarter for the lone points of the second half.
