RaiQuan Gray established career highs of 24 points and 12 rebounds to lead No. 17 Florida State to a 92-85 overtime win over Wake Forest on Saturday in Atlantic Coast Conference play in Tallahassee, Fla.
M.J. Walker added 14 points, Scottie Barnes tallied 13 and Anthony Polite and Malik Osborne had 12 apiece for the Seminoles (11-3, 7-2 ACC). Florida State was playing for the first time since Jan. 30 after having three games postponed due to a COVID-19 pause.
Jonah Antonio made a career-best seven 3-pointers and matched his career high of 23 points for Wake Forest (6-9, 3-9). Ian DuBose scored 18 points before fouling out and Daivien Williamson added 13 as the Demon Deacons dropped to 1-7 on the road.
Florida State blew a 13-point, second-half lead but forced overtime on Barnes' layup with 0.5 seconds left.
Gray scored the Seminoles' first four points of the overtime. Osborne and Barnes each added two free throws for an 88-81 lead with 40.5 seconds remaining as Florida State closed it out.
The Seminoles shot 45.8 percent from the field and made 12 of 25 shots from 3-point range.
Wake Forest trailed by 13 points with under 13 minutes to play but recovered to take the lead at 70-68 on Antonio's two free throws with 5:08 left.
Florida State answered with a 7-2 run and held a 75-72 lead after Gray's dunk with 2:41 left. But Carter Whitt knocked down a 3-pointer to tie the score with 2:14 to play.
Jalen Johnson drilled a 3-pointer to give the Demon Deacons a 78-75 lead with 1:30 remaining.
Barnes hit a jumper 12 seconds later to pull the Seminoles within one. DuBose split two free throws to give Wake Forest a two-point lead with 19 seconds left before Polite made one of two free throws with 9.7 seconds remaining.
DuBose again split two free throws with 5.4 seconds left before Barnes scored the tying layup.
Wake Forest shot 45 percent from the field, including 13 of 27 from 3-point range.
Polite's 3-pointer gave Florida State a 60-47 lead with 12:47 to play.
But Antonio drained two 3-pointers in a 31-second span and Williamson added another trey as Wake Forest crept within 60-56 with 10:59 to play.
More than four minutes later, Antonio drained his seventh 3-pointer to knot the score at 66 with 6:42 remaining.
Gray had 12 points and eight rebounds in the first half as Florida State led 41-31 at the break.
