Steve Moundou-Missi had a career-high 16 points off the bench and Laurent Rivard added 16 as No. 25 Harvard closed out its non-conference slate with a 69-48 victory over George Washington on Saturday at Lavietes Pavilion.

The game was never in doubt for the Crimson (15-2, 1-0 Ivy), who used an 18-2 run in the final 9:11 of the first half to take a 33-13 halftime lead. Harvard held George Washington (6-11, 1-2 A10) without a field goal in the final 11:36 of the first half as the Colonials missed all 13 of their attempts.

Keith Wright finished with 11 points and eight rebounds and Brandyn Curry added seven assists for Harvard, which extended its home win streak to 23 games and nearly broke a school record, shooting 64.9 percent from the field. The Crimson, who made 12-of-18 first-half attempts, were hovering near 70 percent shooting for much of the game.

The loss was George Washington’s 10th in its last 12 games after starting the season 4-1. Tony Taylor had a team-high 13 points but converted just 3-of-12 field goal attempts for the Colonials, who had 13 turnovers and trailed by as many as 29 points.

Moundou-Missi and Wright combined to shoot 11-of-11 from the floor for the Crimson, who will resume Ivy League play with a road game against Dartmouth on Jan 21. In the first meeting, Harvard defeated the Big Green 63-47.
