Brandon Ingram scored 33 points, including a go-ahead 3-pointer with 34.4 seconds left in overtime, as the host New Orleans Pelicans overcame a 24-point deficit to defeat the Boston Celtics 120-115 on Sunday.
Zion Williamson had 28 points and 10 rebounds to help lead the largest comeback in New Orleans history. Josh Hart had 17 points and 10 rebounds and Lonzo Ball scored 16.
Jayson Tatum scored 32, Jaylen Brown had 25, Tristan Thomson and Kemba Walker added 14 each and Aaron Nesmith had 10 to lead the Celtics.
After an exchange of baskets to start the overtime scoring, Williamson made one of two free throws.
Brown made a layup to give Boston a 112-111 lead with 1:12 left. Ingram tied it with a free throw and added a 3-pointer to give the Pelicans a 115-112 lead.
Walker missed a 3-pointer and Hart hit two free throws for a five-point lead with 18.6 seconds left as New Orleans closed it out.
At the end of the fourth quarter, Ball made one of two free throws to give the Pelicans a one-point lead with 32.2 remaining.
Tatum's jumper from the circle put the Celtics back on top before Williamson's three-point play gave New Orleans a 108-106 lead with 6.9 seconds left.
Tatum scored on a short floater with 0.2 left to send the game into overtime.
The Celtics led by 13 entering the fourth quarter, but Hart scored eight straight Pelicans points to help pull them within 93-90.
Brown answered with a 3-pointer for Boston's first field goal in more than four minutes, but Ingram responded with a three-point play.
Ingram's 3-pointer tied the score at 98 with 4:10 remaining.
After an exchange of 3-pointers, Ball fed Williamson for a layup and Hart added a free throw to give New Orleans a 104-101 lead. Brown's three-point play tied the score again.
Boston led by 16 at halftime and maintained a 20-plus-point lead for most of the quarter.
Williamson finally reached double figures with a layup that cut the Celtics lead to 87-74 at the end of the third quarter.
