Nets 99, 76ers 91: Deron Williams collected 17 points, 10 assists and eight rebounds as visiting New Jersey handed Philadelphia its 15th straight loss.
Joe Johnson added a team-high 21 points and Brook Lopez scored 19 on 9-of-12 shooting for the Nets, who overcame 24 turnovers. Alan Anderson came off the bench to score 10 of his 12 points in the fourth quarter for Brooklyn, which went 21-of-28 from the free-throw line.
Tony Wroten scored 18 points and dished out 10 assists while K.J. McDaniels also tallied 18 points for the 76ers, who matched the franchise-worst 0-15 start by the 1972-73 squad. Hollis Thompson chipped in with 14 points in a reserve role while Henry Sims grabbed nine rebounds.
The Nets knocked down nine of their first 11 shots to sprint ahead 25-10 and Mirza Teletovic nailed a 3-pointer to push the margin to 20 before Sims sparked a late surge to trim the deficit to 49-41 heading into intermission. Brooklyn led by as much as 17 in the third quarter, but the 76ers hung around and pulled within 72-67 after Brandon Davies sank a pair of free throws.
Nerlens Noel's dunk gave Philadelphia its first lead of the game at 74-72 before Anderson converted a three-point play to put the Nets back in front by three with 6:13 remaining in the final frame. Williams scored to make it 90-83 before Wroten keyed a quick 6-0 spurt to close the gap to one with 1:31 remaining, but Kevin Garnett nailed a clutch jumper with 32 seconds left to seal the 76ers' fate.
GAME NOTEBOOK: The Nets have won five of the last six matchups with the 76ers. … Garnett recorded nine points, nine rebounds and four steals after taking a rest day against the San Antonio Spurs on Saturday. … Philadelphia has lost 19 of its last 21 games at Wells Fargo Center.
