Greg Monroe scored 21 points and Brandon Jennings added 20 for the Pistons, who ran their home winning streak against the Celtics to six games. Josh Smith contributed 11 points as Detroit won for only the third time in 13 games.

Jerryd Bayless hit 5-of-6 3-pointers en route to 25 points for the Celtics, who have lost 12 straight on the road and 13 of 14 overall. Jeff Green scored 23 points, Jared Sullinger tallied 22 points and 10 rebounds and Phil Pressey contributed 12 points and 11 assists.

Boston went up 111-107 on Pressey's 3-pointer with 2:50 left, but the Celtics didn't score the rest of the way. They missed their final eight shots and Drummond slammed home a Rodney Stuckey miss to tie it at 111 before Stuckey and Jennings each knocked down a pair of free throws in the final minute.

The Celtics led by 10 at the break and extended the margin to 71-55 on back-to-back 3-pointers from Pressey and Bayless to start the third quarter. The margin was as large as 19 in the third before Detroit closed within 95-85 entering the fourth and outscored Boston 30-16 in the final stanza.
