Spurs 98, Magic 84: Danny Green scored 20 points and Gary Neal added 16 off the bench as short-handed San Antonio snapped a two-game skid with an easy win over visiting Orlando.
Tiago Splitter contributed 10 points and nine rebounds for the Spurs, who were without Tony Parker (ankle), Manu Ginobili (hamstring), Kawhi Leonard (knee) and DeJuan Blair (stomach virus). San Antonio moved 1 1/2 games ahead of idle Oklahoma City for the top spot in the Western Conference.
Rookie Maurice Harkless had 18 points and nine rebounds while Nikola Vucevic added 16 and 14 for the Magic, who have lost the first three of a five-game road trip to run their road losing streak to nine. Orlando has lost 11 of 12 overall.
Despite playing without several key players, the Spurs never trailed and the contest was tied only once - at 21. San Antonio led 51-46 at halftime and 73-65 after three quarters before stretching it out in the fourth.
The Magic pulled within 74-70 on E'Twaun Moore's free throw with 10:37 left, but Green hit a pair of 3-pointers during a 15-2 run to help San Antonio put it away.
GAME NOTEBOOK: The Magic dropped to 0-24 when scoring 90 points or fewer. … San Antonio has won four straight meetings with Orlando and six of the last seven. … Spurs PF Tim Duncan played through a sore knee but was limited to five points in 14 minutes.
