Bulls 87, Timberwolves 80: Nate Robinson came off the bench to score 18 points and Joakim Noah added 17 points and four blocks as host Chicago defeated Minnesota for the sixth straight time.
With Kirk Hinrich nursing a right hip strain, Robinson was 8-of-14 from the field as the Bulls rebounded after squandering a fourth-quarter lead in a 97-91 loss to Oklahoma City on Thursday.
Marco Belinelli got Chicago off on the right foot by drilling a trio of 3-pointers in the first 2:05 of the fourth quarter to extend the lead to 72-63.
Andrei Kirilenko scored five straight points to trim Minnesota's deficit to five at 82-77, but Noah's second-effort basket with 42 seconds left put an end to the run.
Nikola Pekovic had a team-high 18 points on 8-of-13 shooting for the Timberwolves, who saw their three-game winning streak come to an end.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Minnesota's Brandon Roy sat out the contest after aggravating his chronically injured knee during Friday's victory over Indiana. Chase Budinger, who started in his place, had to be helped off the court in the fourth quarter with an undisclosed injury. ... Noah went to the locker room in the first quarter with a laceration on his left knee. He returned shortly thereafter. ... The Timberwolves shot just 5-of-17 from the field in the third quarter.
