Caron Butler led six players in double figures for Dallas, and the Mavericks went on the road to beat the Los Angeles Clippers 99-83 on Sunday.
Butler scored 17 points to go with 16 from Dirk Nowitzki and 15 from Jason Terry as the Mavericks (2-1) shot 46.8 percent from the field, including 7-for-16 from 3-point range.
Jason Kidd had 13 points, nine rebounds and seven assists for Dallas. Kidd has 35 assists through three games. Shawn Marion added 12 points off the bench while fellow reserve Brendan Haywood had 10.
The Clippers (0-3) continued their poor play in the second half, allowing the Mavericks to pull away in the third quarter. Los Angeles has averaged 37.3 points in the second half this season.
Chris Kaman had a double-double and rookie Blake Griffin narrowly missed one for the Clippers. Griffin scored a team-high 16 points and grabbed nine rebounds and Kaman had 13 points and 13 rebounds.
DeAndre Jordan added 10 points off the bench for Los Angeles, which shot 34.1 percent from the field.
