Shawn Marion scored 22 points and DeShawn Stevenson added 21 points as the Dallas Mavericks defeated the host Cleveland Cavaliers 104-95 on Sunday while playing without Dirk Nowitzki and Caron Butler.
Jason Terry added 18 points for Dallas (25-8), which ended a three-game losing streak.
Antawn Jamison scored a season-high 35 points on 14-of-22 shooting for the Cavs but couldn’t prevent Cleveland (8-26) from losing its seventh straight game. Jamison also grabbed 10 rebounds.
Nowitzki missed his fourth consecutive contest with a sprained knee. Meanwhile, reports surfaced that Butler’s knee injury is a tear of the patellar tendon, a potentially severe injury that could sideline him for a lengthy period of time.
Tyson Chandler made all six of his field-goal attempts and had 14 points and 14 rebounds for the Mavericks. Stevenson made five of Dallas’ 10 3-point baskets.
Ramon Sessions had 19 points and 12 assists for the Cavaliers.
