Max Muncy homered twice, drove in five and finished with four hits, Mookie Betts and A.J. Pollock also went deep, and the Los Angeles Dodgers beat the Colorado Rockies 9-2 in Denver on Saturday night.
Betts also had three doubles before leaving the game in the seventh inning with a right hip irritation, according to the team. Pollock had two hits and scored two runs for the Dodgers.
Walker Buehler (10-1) struck out eight in seven innings for Los Angeles, which has won eight straight over Colorado.
Ryan McMahon doubled and drove in a run for the Rockies, who didn't have a baserunner after the third inning.
The Dodgers struck first when Betts led off the game with a double and scored on a single by Muncy.
Colorado got even in the second. McMahon led off with a walk, went to third on a double by Sam Hilliard and Dom Nunez walked to load the bases. Pitcher Kyle Freeland hit a sacrifice fly to left to tie it.
Freeland (1-4) allowed three runs on six hits and struck out four in six innings of work.
Betts hit his 14th home run in the third to put Los Angeles ahead 2-1, but the Rockies matched it in their half of the inning. Brendan Rodgers led off with a single and scored on McMahon's one-out double.
It stayed tied until the sixth. Betts led off with a double and came home on Muncy's single to make it 3-2.
Pollock led off the seventh with a home run off of reliever Mychal Givens, his 13th of the year, to make it 4-2. Betts reached on a double to the gap in right-center field but jogged into second base. He immediately left the game and Gavin Lux came on as a pinch runner.
The Dodgers extended the lead when Muncy homered leading off the eighth, and Los Angeles put it away in the ninth. Justin Turner had a two-run double and Muncy hit his 21st home run to cap the four-run inning.
