Brandon Lowe had two hits and drove in two runs as the Tampa Bay Rays continued their recent dominance over the Baltimore Orioles with a 5-4 win on Saturday in St. Petersburg, Fla.

Rich Hill allowed four runs on four hits over 4 2/3 innings for the Rays, who have won 22 of their last 27 games and boast the American League's best record at 41-24.

Collin McHugh (1-1) struck out five over two scoreless innings in relief for the victory.

Pete Fairbanks pitched the eighth inning and Diego Castillo worked around a two-out single in the ninth for his 11th save.

Austin Wynns belted his first career grand slam for Baltimore, which set a club record with its 14th consecutive road loss.

Tampa Bay held a 5-0 lead through four innings before the Orioles pulled within a run in the fifth on Wynns' slam.

Cedric Mullins had two hits and a stolen base for Baltimore, which has lost 11 of its last 12 meetings against Tampa Bay, including all five this season.

The Rays took an early lead with three runs in the first against Jorge Lopez (2-7).

Joey Wendle doubled in a run with two outs before Manuel Margot and Kevin Kiermaier followed with consecutive run-scoring singles.

Lopez surrendered five runs on eight hits and one walk with eight strikeouts over 4 2/3 innings.

Tampa Bay added to its lead in the fourth when Lowe drove in two runs on a two-out double off Lopez that bounced over Ryan Mountcastle's head in left field.

Hill entered the game with a 0.68 ERA over his previous seven starts and allowed just one hit through the first four innings.

The 41-year-old left-hander ran into trouble in the fifth, loading the bases with two outs on a pair of walks and a single by Freddy Galvis.

Wynns then cleared the bases with a 373-foot blast to left field for his first home run since Sept. 24, 2019.

Kiermaier had three hits and a stolen base for the Rays, who won despite going 4-for-14 with runners in scoring position.
