PHOENIX -- With a return to a repeatable delivery, Arizona Diamondbacks left-hander Patrick Corbin is finding repeated success.

Corbin recorded his fourth win in as many outings and his fifth straight quality start in the Diamondbacks' 11-0 victory over the San Francisco Giants at Chase Field on Sunday. The game was punctuated by four homers, two by J.D. Martinez.

Corbin (12-11) gave up five hits in seven-plus innings. He has surrendered only one run in his oast four starts over 30 1/3 innings, a homer by New York Mets rookie shortstop Amed Rosario on Tuesday. His ERA is down to 3.91, the lowest it has been since May 12.

"I feel like maybe I'm not rushing as much as I was," Corbin said. "Sometimes (I) got amped up a little bit more. Sometimes you do that, you overthrow a little bit and you just kind of get out of whack.

"I think it helped a lot on my sinker, locating it down in the zone. Repeating your delivery makes everything better."

Corbin struck out eight, walked one and faced only three batters over the minimum through seven innings, helped by double play grounders in the first and fourth frames.

"There is complete execution, and the delivery is the same on every pitch," Arizona manager Torey Lovullo said. "The arm speed is the same on very pitch. He is throwing all of his pitches with extreme confidence, and that's (why) you are getting a lot of the swing and miss.

"All pitchers work for that common denominator, where your delivery doesn't change whatsoever and there is deception with that. Pitches coming out of it go different ways. I think Patrick is locked right now in that area."

Martinez hit a solo homer for a 2-0 lead in the sixth inning off right-hander Chris Stratton and added a bases-empty homer in a nine-run eighth inning. Martinez has 13 homers in 34 games with Arizona after hitting 16 with the Detroit Tigers before a July 18 trade.

Chris Herrmann hit a two-run single, Goldschmidt had a three-run homer and Daniel Descalso had a solo shot, all in the eighth inning for the Diamondbacks (73-58). Descalso had three hits.

Arizona has won seven of eight and is 1 1/2 games ahead of the Colorado Rockies (71-59) in the race for the top National League wild card.

Kelby Tomlinson had two hits for the Giants (52-80), who have lost six of eight and scored only four runs in the three-game series.

Arizona posted its eighth shutout of the season while holding the Giants scoreless at Chase Field for the first time since 2008.

"As well as we pitched, to score four runs in a three-game series, that is not going to work," San Francisco manager Bruce Bochy said. "We just got shut down by their pitching and really didn't have much going against Corbin at all.

"We got some guys really struggling. You saw more ground balls by our offense today than you have all year, it seemed like it."

The Giants got only one runner as far as third base, after Parker singled to knock out Corbin to open the eighth inning. Joe Panik drew a walk off Andrew Chafin and Brandon Crawford grounded into a double play before David Hernandez got a fly out to end the inning and keep the score 2-0.

San Francisco veteran Matt Cain allowed eight runs while getting two outs in the eighth.

Stratton (2-3) gave up four hits and two runs in six innings, his third consecutive quality start. He struck out a career-high 10 and walked three.

"He is doing stuff elite pitches do," Bochy said.

The Diamondbacks scored without a hit in the third inning for a 1-0 lead, ending Stratton's 14-inning scoreless streak.

Herrmann walked with one out and went second on Corbin's sacrifice bunt. Herrmann took third on a groundout and scored on a wild pitch when Rey Fuentes struck out but reached first base.

NOTES: Arizona LF David Peralta was ejected by plate umpire Ron Kulpa after slamming his bat to the ground near the batter's box following a strikeout in the fifth inning. ... RHP Johnny Cueto (flexor tendon) is expected to return to the Giants' rotation the next time through, manager Bruce Bochy said, provided there are no issues after his rehab start Sunday at Class A San Jose. Cueto gave up nine hits and eight runs (five earned) while striking out four in 3 2/3 innings. ... Arizona RHP Fernando Rodney set a franchise record by saving five games in six days, the last one coming Saturday. He did not pitch Sunday. ... Arizona SS Ketel Marte (hamstring) received a day off Sunday after being removed in the sixth inning Saturday.
