Diamondbacks 11, Reds 5: Paul Goldschmidt homered twice to lead a 15-hit attack as host Arizona took the first of three games against Cincinnati.

Gerardo Parra hit a leadoff homer in the bottom of the first inning and Jason Kubel went 4-for-5 and scored three times for the Diamondbacks, who have won three straight since a season high-tying four-game slide. Willie Bloomquist chipped in a two-run single and Didi Gregorius had three hits, including an RBI double, as Arizona clobbered Reds starter Johnny Cueto.

Cueto (4-1) entered 5-0 with a 1.66 ERA against the Diamondbacks, but Parra's blast on the right-hander's fifth pitch of the night set a tone. Cueto was charged with seven runs and a career high-tying 11 hits in 4 1/3 innings, losing for the first time in 11 starts dating to 2012.

Will Harris (1-0) got the last out of the fifth to pick up the win in relief of starter Wade Miley, who gave up three runs on five hits and four walks in 4 2/3 innings.

Cincinnati forged a 3-3 tie on an RBI double by Joey Votto and an error by Gregorius in the fifth, but Goldschmidt slugged a two-run shot in the bottom half to ignite a four-run rally. He capped his third two-homer performance of the season one inning later, again starting a four-run outburst as the Diamondbacks opened up an 11-3 advantage.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Cincinnati entered having won 12 of its previous 14 games at Arizona. ... Reds RF Jay Bruce homered for the sixth time in his last eight games. Votto added a solo shot in the seventh. ... The Diamondbacks are 35-9 when Goldschmidt hits a home run.
