Pirates 13, Giants 2: Neil Walker went 5-for-5 with a homer and two RBIs while Andrew McCutchen recorded three hits, including a pair of two-run blasts, as host Pittsburgh completed a 6-1 homestand.
A.J. Burnett won his ninth straight decision and Casey McGehee collected three hits and two RBIs for the Pirates, who improved to a major league-best 29-14 at home.
Walker, who finished a triple shy of the cycle, doubled and scored on McCutchen's home run in the first inning before belting a solo shot in the third to make it 3-0. After delivering an RBI single in the fourth, he singled and scored on McGehee's two-run base hit two innings later.
Walker completed his five-hit effort in the seventh with a two-out single, and McCutchen followed with his 18th homer of the season. It capped the seventh career two-homer performance for the All-Star and his third this year.
Burnett (10-2) cruised through the first six innings, limiting San Francisco to two hits while retiring 13 batters in a row at one point. The veteran right-hander, who also hit an RBI single, finished having allowed two runs and four hits while walking two and striking out five.
Tim Lincecum (3-10) continued to struggle, surrendering six runs and seven hits over 3 1/3 frames. The two-time National League Cy Young Award winner has lost seven of his last eight decisions.
Pablo Sandoval hit a two-run homer for the Giants, who completed a 1-5 road trip with their seventh loss in nine overall games.
GAME NOTEBOOK: McGehee left the game following his two-run single in the sixth with a mild left groin strain ... Walker's five-hit performance was the second of his career. His first-inning single extended his hitting streak to 12 games ... Lincecum has lasted only 3 1/3 innings in each of his last two starts ... Pirates RHP Brad Lincoln retired all eight batters he faced.
