Brewers 6, Dodgers 2: Zack Greinke pitched six strong innings and Aramis Ramirez and Carlos Gomez belted two-run homers as Milwaukee capped a four-game road sweep.
Ramirez, who scored the game’s first run on an RBI single by Rickie Weeks in the second inning, gave the Brewers a three-run cushion in the third with a one-out shot to left field against Chad Billingsley (2-4). Gomez provided some insurance when he went deep to left in the ninth inning.
Greinke (6-2) scattered nine hits and a walk but limited the Dodgers to just one run, striking out seven while throwing 118 pitches. He escaped a bases-loaded jam in the second inning and finished his night by striking out pinch hitter Ivan De Jesus to end the sixth inning with two runners on.
Billingsley struck out eight and walked two in six innings of work, allowing four runs on six hits and hitting a pair of batters. He tried in vain to help his own cause at the plate, going 2-for-2 and driving in the first Los Angeles run with a second-inning single.
James Loney capped the scoring for the Dodgers with a two-out RBI base hit in the ninth.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Milwaukee is 6-1 this season against the Dodgers, who are 31-13 against all other teams ... Brewers LF Ryan Braun sat out Thursday’s game with tightness in his Achilles tendon ... Los Angeles grounded into eight double plays during the four-game series ... The Dodgers put CF Matt Kemp (hamstring) back on the disabled list Thursday for the second time this month. He is expected to be out for at least four weeks.
