Phillies 3, Dodgers 2: Ryan Howard homered for the first time since his Achilles injury and Joe Blanton tossed eight solid innings as visiting Philadelphia recorded its first three-game winning streak in nearly two months.

Jimmy Rollins also went deep, Shane Victorino collected three hits and Juan Pierre added an RBI single as the Phillies won three in a row for the first time since claiming four straight from May 23-26.

With Philadelphia leading 2-0 in the fourth inning, Howard muscled a fastball from Nathan Eovaldi (1-6) over the wall in left-center field.

Blanton (8-8) improved to 4-1 at Dodger Stadium after permitting two runs on six hits and striking out seven. The burly right-hander didn't allow a homer for the first time in 12 games.

Los Angeles closed to within a run at 3-2 in the seventh inning after Juan Rivera scored on a wild pitch. Undaunted, Blanton kept the damage to a minimum before Jonathan Papelbon stranded a runner at third in the ninth for his 20th save.

After securing his lone win of the season in his last outing, Eovaldi limped through five innings. He allowed three runs on six hits as the Dodgers fell for the sixth time in seven outings.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Phillies are 20-6 all-time when Rollins and Howard homer in the same game. ... Randy Wolf was the last member of Philadelphia to yield homers in 12 consecutive starts. He did so from April 19-June 19, 2000. ... Phillies ace Roy Halladay will be activated from the disabled list prior to Tuesday's game. Halladay, who will start the contest, hasn't pitched since May 27 because of a right latissimus dorsi strain.
