Marlins 4, Padres 1: Pinch hitter Greg Dobbs snapped an eighth-inning tie with an RBI single and Mark Buehrle pitched his 28th career complete game as Miami remained perfect on its nine-game road trip.
Omar Infante drove in a pair of runs and Giancarlo Stanton belted a solo homer for the Marlins, who improved to 5-0 on their trek.
Jose Reyes led off the decisive eighth with a walk and Emilio Bonifacio bunted for a single to chase Padres starter Clayton Richard (1-4). Dale Thayer came in and recorded an out before Dobbs delivered a hit to shallow center field, plating Reyes.
Infante followed with a sacrifice fly and Stanton led off the ninth with his fifth blast of the year to seal the win for Buehrle (2-4). The left-hander allowed five hits and walked two while striking out three en route to his first complete game since 2010 with the Chicago White Sox.
Richard surrendered three runs and nine hits over seven innings, striking out seven.
Chase Headley had an RBI single for the Padres, who fell to 2-3 on their nine-game homestand.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Infante has collected four of his 12 RBIs this season over the last two games. ... San Diego placed closer Huston Street on the 15-day disabled list with a strained right lat. Street left Friday's contest with the injury and underwent an MRI Saturday. ... Miles Mikolas was recalled to replace Street and saw his sixth major-league pitch hit out of the park by Stanton. ... Each of Miami's previous five wins were by one run. ... All five of Stanton's homers have come over his last seven games.
