Angels 10, Blue Jays 6: Rookie Mike Trout hit a go-ahead home run in the eighth inning and Alberto Callaspo and Mark Trumbo also homered as visiting Los Angeles salvaged a split of its four-game series against Toronto.
The teams combined for 13 home runs in the series - seven by the Blue Jays.
The 20-year-old Trout, named to his first All-Star Game earlier in the day, blasted a 2-2 slider from Francisco Cordero for his ninth homer to give the Angels the lead for good. Mark Trumbo followed with a two-run shot - his 20th - later in the inning.
Callaspo hit a two-run homer - his sixth - in the fifth off Toronto starter Aaron Laffey.
Cordero (3-5) gave up both homers in the eighth, allowing three runs on four hits and recording only one out.
Jason Isringhausen (3-0) was the winning pitcher despite allowing a game-tying home run to J.P. Arencibia in the seventh.
The Angels broke it open with four runs in the ninth inning, all of which were charged to Jesse Chavez. Colby Rasmus hit a three-run shot in ninth for Toronto.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Angels manager Mike Scioscia was ejected in the sixth inning for arguing a close play at the plate involving a collision between Brett Lawrie and catcher John Hester. … Laffey recorded his second quality start in as many outings since joining the rotation, allowing three runs (two earned) over six innings. ... Angela starter C.J. Wilson allowed two runs (one earned) on three hits in five innings.
