Casey Blake homered and drove in a pair of runs and Matt Kemp had two RBIs as the Los Angeles Dodgers secured an 8-5 win over the Chicago Cubs on Wednesday.
James Loney finished a home run shy of the cycle and Rafael Furcal drove in his first run since returning from the disabled list on Tuesday after missing 25 games with a hamstring injury.
The game was delayed 18 minutes in the top of the fourth inning due to a power outage at the Wrigley Field.
Chad Billingsley (6-2) scattered 10 hits and allowed three runs -- two earned -- with six strikeouts in 5 1/3 innings to garner the win.
Jonathan Broxton got the final five outs to record his 11th save.
The Dodgers struck early, scoring three in the first inning and two more in the second for the 5-0 advantage with Kemp’s two-run double completing the scoring.
Chicago fought back to get within 7-5 when Xavier Nady homered in the sixth and John Baker tripled in a pair in the seventh.
Blake added some insurance for the Dodgers with a solo shot in the ninth.
Tom Gorzelanny (2-5) gave up seven runs -- five earned -- over five innings to absorb the loss.
